His Father's Son

Ty is growing up each day to be more and more like his dad. I can't even tell you how proud and happy Drew is every time Ty picks up a Sports Illustrated magazine and thumbs through it page by page using extremely excited expressions like "Ohhhhh.... BaBiBall!!" and "Ohhhhh.... Fuball!!!" Every time we have the TV on and are searching through the channels and Ty sees a basketball game or some other sporting event he screams out "BaBiBall!!" and actually wants to watch it. So... I am over ruled these days with what we can watch on TV... not that I had much say before the Ty guy came along :) So... although I can no longer watch What Not to Wear or a little HGTV in the evenings it is worth it cause... I love my boys!
Here's Ty in Drew's snow boots.
My little man..... all boy!
Ummmm.... ya.... I don't know who was more excited about this new toy... Ty or Drew and his friends who now can play HORSE inside the house.

Easter

I tried to get a picture of Ty in his super cute Easter Sunday attire but he would not hold still or look at me! ... so this is as good as it gets. How cute is his pink stripped shirt and little belt! ... he is turning into a boy way to fast.

Easter Sunday was fun. Ty LOVED all the candy in his basket and even the books he got. This kid is a chocolate feen like me. He could eat it all day. We spent the afternoon and evening at Drew's parents eating a yummy ham dinner and then having an Easter egg hunt with all the cousins. We finished up with gifts from grandma and grandpa and then bubbles outside. It was a beautiful sunny day... we got so lucky!

Nice from behind :) ...and he had to carry this empty candy holder with him everywhere! He loved giving the chick kisses.
Ty and his cousin Isabel in the Easter hunt at Grandmas.

All 10 cousins on the Pearson side. ... and yes that is chocolate in Ty's mouth... only way to keep him still to take a picture.
The chocolate bunny that he has been working on since yesterday morning! He went around the house carring this bunny and chocolate all over his face singing "happy... happy... happy!!"

An over load... for lack of blogging

I've been slacking in my blog updates these last few weeks so sorry about the chaos of events. To say the least we are happy and healthy and having a good time.

Ty's favorite place to play and hide these days is in the pantry... especially with his BFF Sophie... here he is getting his smooch on... what two little cuties.

A few weekends ago we went up to Strawberry for a little snowmobiling and a lot of fun sledding. Call me a kid but there's nothing more fun then find a great sledding hill to plow down.
Cousin Isabel and Ty getting warm in grandpa's truck.
Drew and Ty

And... the newest member of our family... Paxton Pearson. Drew's oldest brother Preston just had their fourth child last week and he looks so much like Drew's father. He's a sweet little man.

While Drew was out of town in Vegas my friend Shauna and her little man Boston came and stayed with us for a few days. We had a great time hanging out, going out and taking the kiddos to the park and Jungle Gyms... this fun place for little kids to ride rides. I needed at least another week with her!

And... we had fun watching cousins Isabel and Colton for a few days while their parents went out of town. Here they are with Ty and friends Bree and Sophie having a movie night together at our place. They stayed still like this for like two seconds... but it was fun.

Oh... this is fun... Drew was in Vegas for a week to watch the Mountain West Tourni. He was picked to shoot baskets during half time of the BYU vs Vegas game and made all five shots... he won $500... what a stud. Our friend Tom was awesome enough to record it with his phone so I got to see it!!

I watched a women die in the Target parking lot this afternoon. The trunk to her car still open with a few groceries loaded and a few still in her cart. Firemen were the first ones to arrive to try and revive her still collapsed body caused from what looked like a heart attack or something to it's equal. As they stripped her of her clothes and performed CPR I was left in shock and sadness. The ambulance arrived a few minutes later but it was to late. The feelings of grief haven't left me since and have kept me from sleep. I am so grateful for the loved ones that surround me. It scares me to know that life can be taken in just a few moments and so unexpected. I need not take for granted every minute I have here on earth to live and cherish the blessings in my life... my husband, son, family, and friends. I have so much gratitude for my Savior to know that we can live with those that we love again in the life here after.

Spring is approaching...

The weather is finally starting to warm up and I love being able to go outside and play with the Ty guy. I discovered yesterday that he can play on the playground all by himself!! ...such a big boy... he doesn't even need my help turning around to go down the slide.
Ty LOVES playing basketball. ...and look how muddy it is! He tries to shoot the ball in the basket it's really cute. Every time we pull up to our house he starts screaming "BaBiBalll!! BaBiBall!!" ...Drew couldn't be more thrilled and proud.
We got to watch our neighbor and friend Bree learn how to ride her bike without training wheels!!
The skateboard is out again!

Here's Ty trying to make a basket.

Here's Ty again... and all of us hanging out in the ally on our first warm day in a long while!

Oh Spring I hope you come and STAY very soon!
