Bear Lake

We had such a great weekend. Drew's grandma owns property and a condo up at Bear Lake and each summer over the 4th and 24th ... a holiday in Utah... the entire family gets together. It is so much fun to spend time with Drew's aunts, uncles and cousins. ...and Bear Lake is sooooo fun.... gorgeous clean water ... that wasn't to cold this year!!! We spend time on the lot... some of us camping in tents, some in trailor's or RVs and some in the condo. It's so fun riding 4 wheelers and wave runners and of course yummy raspberry shakes from La Beau's!!

Here's Ty with Grandma Ruth... greatest lady ever!
Ty spent a lot of time with Drew's youngest cousins... Zack, Katie, Julia, and Marissa.

Ty's first taste of yummy raspberry shake from La Beau's.

Ty fell in love with the Honda... he would scream when we'd take him off of it.
Drew with his cousins Lance and Matt out for a Rhino ride.

Ty had so much fun playing with Little Lance and Riley .... 2nd cousins to Ty... I think... I never know how it works past first cousins.

Cardio Cinema at the gym.... + and -

So... at our gym (Gold's) we have a Cardio Cinema that is filled with about 8 rows of cardio workout equipment like bikes, treadmills, elipticals. etc. They play movies all day long on a huge movie screen with surround sound...which can be great... but also has it down sides.

I love it because I can be totally entertained for an hour while I workout and also because I feel like I can run harder and push myself more because I can get as red in the face as I want... sweat like crazy... and no one can really see me because it's so dark in there.

But when movies like Armagedon are playing I find myself crying along with the women running next to me... which totally dampers your workout and instead of just getting red in the face my eyes get swollen!! And... like last week when Cloverfield was playing a lady behind me totally screamed at the top of her lungs on a scary part and almost sent me flying off the treadmill!!

But I think today was the worst... someone somewhere in the room kept passing the worst yuckiest gas!!! I was only half way though my run when it started... I wanted to throw up and after several minutes of trying to breath through my mouth and not my nose... I gave up and had to leave.
Ummm ya.... don't know if it's worth it.

Ty at 10 months

Ty turned 10 months old yesterday. I seriously can't believe how fast time flies... in 2 months he'll be turning one years old... it blows my mind. He gets to be more and more fun the older he gets. He says "Mama" ... usually only when he's upset or wants something. And now he's crawling all over and getting into everything.

He pulls himself up unto everything and I mean everything... when I take a shower he crawls in the bathroom pulls open the shower curtain pulls himself up on the tub and and just giggles. ...So now I have an audience while I take a shower.

Here he is crawling through his IKEA tunnel... loves it if you chase him through it or wait for him on the other side. He also loves playing with the door stoppers... keeps him entertained for well... minutes... and then he figures out how to pull them off and just wants to suck on it.
I love being a mom... especially to this sweet little stud.

Lost

So... for last few weeks my life has been consumed with watching Lost. For the last few years people I know at work, friends, etc. have been raving about it... thanks to our friends Tom and Amanda who started renting the first season a few weeks ago we got caught up in it and couldn't stop. In fact... we spent the 4th of July watching the last few episodes of the 4th season and missed fireworks completely... what nerds we are. It's been fun... but it's nice to finally be caught up so life can get back to normal... not revolving around watching Lost. ...which I am so into by the way... except it sucks because it's like a movie that will never end and just when you get one question answered... there's 2 more brought up. Urgh! but... Can't wait for season 5!

Memories

Memory Lane...
I got this from a friend's blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments

Teaching Ty "no"

So... Ty is at the age where he is hearing "no no no" much to often... yet he hasn't seemed to grasp the concept like we'd like him to. Instead it has become the cutest little game for him. Whenever he hears us say "no no no" he starts shaking his head "no" ... it's so funny and so cute. The best is when we are out in public and some one says "no no" to their own kids and Ty starts shaking his head no.
His other new trick is "3 pointer ...swoosh!" ... you'll just have to see it on the second video. He is so into games and mimicking everything we do. It's such a fun stage for us.
