Trip to Oregon and Grandpa's 80th Birthday

This last weekend Danny and I flew to Portland for a couple of days to meet my family and celebrate my grandpa's 80th birthday with friends and family. Danny was awesome on both the flight their and the flight home. Both times he fell asleep as we were taking off and woke up as we were landing... I got very lucky! ... and every time I would call and talk to Ty he would ask me if I was still at the airport and what was I doing there... cute.

Danny got to ride the tractor with my dad and play with my brothers kids Emma and Jake who are great entertainment for him. The birthday party was a great turn out and my grandpa cried a lot. He as a ranchers at heart and by profession we found a cute John Deer tractor candle for his cake. They are selling their home and land and moving to Medford this fall... it will be sad not to go up there anymore and ride the tractor!

Bear Lake

We had to start the trip off right with Drew finding his grandpa's old swimming suit and wearing it :) Owe Owe!!

It doesn't get any better then this!

Danny just got his 3rd tooth in and always has his tongue out feeling his teeth... it's super cute.

Bear Lake this year over the 24th was short but awesome. I wish we had more time up there... and I think I say that every time we go. We had fun in the boat, swimming in the water with our little fish boy Ty and playing in the sand. La Beaus shakes are always a treat and playing on the lot with cousins is great... although we did get the condo this time and we didn't see people as much as usual! Our bad. Danny was awesome as usual and Ty was in heaven. LOVE Bear Lake.

Swimming Lessons

Ty has been in swimming lessons these last couple weeks and loves it. He has been taking lessons with Sophie and Bree which makes it even better for him. His teacher is great and handles these little guys so great. He still hesitates to go under water by himself but we are getting closer. The last day they took the kids off the diving board. Ty was pretty scared at first and had to be dropped in by his teacher. After that he did it by himself and cried when we had to leave. I loved swimming lessons growing up so it was fun to see him in the water learning.

Danny Time

Drew has been at Father and Sons camp out with Ty and so it has just been me and Danny. This is a rare occasion that it is just us so I had fun playing one on one with him. After going though his third outfit for the day... he's getting his first tooth so I think it may be the reason for recent blow outs... nice I know... we decided to have a naked photo shoot before jammy time.

Danny is getting so big! We took him to his 6 month check up... although I know he is 7 months old now... I accidently missed the appointment and they couldn't see me for another month. He weighs 18 lbs and is 28 inches. He is at such a great stage... don't you love this stage where they are so into playing with toys and entertaining themselves... but aren't super mobile yet! He is a smiler... always has been... a little flirt I've been told. And a crazy chatter box who loves to eat your face and blow raspberries. He is always so happy. I love this little man so much!

Okay stop... jammy time!

4th of July at Heritage Park

If you haven't been up to Heritage Park ... or This is the Place... it is a must. We spent the 4th of July ... or I guess the 3rd of July ... cause that's how we roll in Utah when the 4th falls on a Sunday... up at Heritage Park and had a fabulous time. I had no idea what to expect and it was awesome. Totally kid oriented all hands on stuff at every house. It was so fun. If you haven't been there before you have to get up there. It is 7$ an adult and three and under are free. I learned that Wed. are 2$ days... Anyways we had a great time I would recommend it to everyone. Here were somethings we did...
Marie came along with us for the day.
Tilling the earth.
Washing clothes with a washing board.
Beating rugs.
Cart rides.
Watermelon.
Potato sack races.
Ty was to scared to sit in the chair and get a "shave" but Danny was so cute to do it.
Train Rides... Ty's very favorite.
Mechanical bull rides... Ty had to do this like four times in a row.

Panning for gold.

Pony rides
Making candles.

And a petting zoo.

It was a great way to spend the fourth.
Happy 4th of July!!!
