Danny... 5 months old

Danny is 5 months old today... what? really? ... I know... the time has flown by. He is getting so big and is such a giggler. The boy loves to give out smiles. I think he's so happy cause he really had to put in a fight to get here... so he is just so happy to finally make here after waiting so long! ... he seriously wakes up in the night to eat giggling and with this funny screech... then I hear Drew, "Danny... go to sleep." ... and then he giggles more when he hears his daddy's voice :)
We just started him on rice cereal the other day... really doesn't get how to swallow it he just sticks his tongue out like... "what am I supposed to do with this?"
His first time in the water was last week on our vacation and he LOVED it... yeah! He will get along just fine in our family.

Disneyland

We just got back from an awesome trip to Disneyland where we took Ty and Danny for the first time. ( I have been craving Disneyland ever since Drew and I went with my sisters last year. ) Ty was in heaven the entire time and couldn't get enough of all the rides, "I want more!!" after every ride. He was even begging us to take him on California Scream-in... and if he could have gone on it he would have loved it. Instead we found a roller coaster in Toon Town that satisfied his need for speed. His favorites were Mickey's Fun Wheel, Buzz Light Year, ... well okay I can't name them... he seriously was elated with every ride... oh except Pirates of the Caribbean he kept his hands over his eyes almost the entire time and would peek through his fingers... it was so funny



We went with our friend Marie and Drew's brother and his wife and family. ...They are Disney season pass holders and were the best people to go with... they had Disneyland down and Preston would get on his phone to check how long lines were on different rides... it was awesome. And it was so nice to be able to take turns watching each others kids so we could enjoy the "big kid" rides ourselves.


Danny was awesome. Totally entertained by everything... especially the strap on his hat that he loved to chew. And lucky for us he is still young enough to fall asleep in your arms when he's ready for a nap.
By the end of the trip Ty was exhausted. So fun... I would love to do this every year... I am Disneyland addicted!

Potty Trained

So check out who's wearing big boy underwear... yes after over 6 months of potty training we've finally got it down. ...and mama is very thankful to have one less child in diapers to change! ... although I'm still not sure if it's any less work... you still have to help them get their pants down and you still have to wipe them... hmmmm

Danny rolling over

I know I know maybe this isn't to exciting for anyone but us as happy parents and maybe his grandparents but Danny is getting places! He is rolling over and scooting around on his back and belly and loves to play with his toes. ... now I have to be extra careful to keep choking hazards out of reach. He is so happy to be mobile. It reminds me of how quickly he is growing! ... way to fast for me... didn't I just have you?

Never to young for a make-over

Thank you Ty for teaching me that I cannot leave you in your dad's office... alone ... with your little brother... and a dry erase marker.

And sadly my first thought was "Thank goodness it wasn't the carpet!"

Easter in St. George

We spent Easter down in St. George with Drew's family in his parents vacation home... it was crazy I have to admit with everyone and their kids... 12 kids together under one roof for 5 days... a little crazy... and so fun. Ty had a great time with his cousins... when he wasn't bulling them around! My son is a big bully!! What's worse to have a son that's getting bullied, or have the son who is the bully? ... I don't know?!
After Three egg hunts way to much candy and not enough naps... we are glad to be home... but happy to have spent time with everyone.

Danny went in for his 4 month old shots today and Ty as well had to get a shot that they were out of at the time of his two year old shots. ...so Ty went first... a shot in his thigh... he started screaming and crying... four stickers and three suckers later he calmed down. Danny's turn... the nurse picks up the shot starts moving it towards Danny's thigh... Ty starts screaming and tries to get in between the nurse and Danny "No! No! ... Danny doesn't want it! Danny doesn't want it!!!" I knew he had some protective older brother instincts for his little brother! Love you Ty
