A Family Forever

What a perfect day. After fainalizing Ty's adoption on Monday we were able to take Ty to the temple this last Saturday and have him sealed to us for time and all eternity. From the moment Ty was brought into the sealing room he was just grinning from ear to ear. He made my heart melt. He lit up the room. He would look at Drew and then look at me... look at Drew and then look at me with his big beautiful brown eyes and I couldn't help but smile and cry at the same time. From the beginning I always knew he was mine.. ours... but after our experience at the temple there is such a comfort and peacing knowing that no matter what happens I'll be with Ty and Drew for eternity.

Our little Ty guy in his cute white suit. He looked like a little temple worker!! He was so good... not just good... he was so happy and smiley ALL day... even without his naps.... he must of know this was his day.

Here we are... our first pictures together as an eternal family!!! We are so blessed and so happy have this cute joyful spirit in our lives!!

Here is our family and friends we are missing a lot of people who attended the sealing but didn't stick around for pics. My parents drove out from Cali to attend. It was so wonderful to have everyone there with us and we appreciate everyones love and support on this special day.

This is Ty with Drew's sister Christina. We asked her to wear white with us and hold Ty in the temple. Ty loves his aunt Christina.

Here is Ty with his cousin Autumn. This was so fun for Autumn because she was adopted by Drew's brother and his wife six years ago... so they have a special bond... I have some funny stories about these two I'll have to share in another post.

Here are two of my greatest friends Nicki and Kelly, (Kristan should have been in this photo.. but she had to leave right away to get her little girl). I was roomates with all three in college and grew up with Kelly in Cali.... Kelly and her husband drove out here from Cali to attened the sealing... it was so awesome of them and so fun to have them here... although we need a few more days to shop!

Happy Easter!!

I haven't had this much fun on Easter since I was a kid! I actually got to fill Easter baskets, eggs and buy bunny ears for little Ty guy. My new twin sisters, Inna and Alina, came to stay with us for their spring break...so it's been so fun having them around. After going to church and diving into easter baskets we headed to grandma and grandpa Pearson's for an easter egg hunt, relay races, new toys, sword fights, candy, dinner, and family fun. It was such a beautiful day. I love this day...we get to eat candy, play games, and reflect more on the atonement of our Savior.

Family Photo Shoot

So... only four more days until we go to court and finalize Ty's adoption and then only eight more days until we take him to be sealed in the temple. We went and had our first family photo shoot that went really well except Ty was ready for a nap and was getting a little cranky. Here are a few of my favorites.........

What Ty's been up to.. at 6 months old!

Ty turned 6 months old yesterday and came in weighing 19.8 lbs and 27 inches tall. He's in the 80% for both height and weight. What a little beefer eh? ... after holding him longer than 5 minutes my lower back starts to ache. Anyway... this is what he is up to in his ripe 'ol age.
He's sitting up...

And rolling over.

He's eating number two foods, baby finger food snacks.... and his own toes!

He can hold his own bottle!! You have no idea how much time this frees up.

He loves to spend as much time as possible in his new jumper toy... it really is amusing to see him in it... he'll just start giggling to himself.
He is at such a fun age. I can't believe how fast he picks up on things that we practice together adn Ilove how into his toys and books he is. He also grabs for EVERYTHING especially my hair and my nose. He cracks me up though with his cute giggle and his love of attention.

Play dates and Princesses!

The three of them dressing up and watching the Incredibles.

Prince...in Pink...Mr. Ty... note: He is still holding a football!!

Princess Bree
Princess Sophie
This last week Ty and I were able to spend some quality time watching our neighbor girls and our great friends... who we spend most of our time with... little Ms. Bree and little Ms. Sophie. The girls had a blast dressing up in my box of princess clothes and even Ty got a great make-over. He loved the sparkles and although Drew asked me to delete all the pictures of him dressed up as a princess I couldn't resist... He's a cute little Prince (ess)! And a good sport.

One of my greatest friends...Shauna...aka Mur... came down from Idaho to watch her brothers 4 kids for the week and Ty and I have had so much fun spending time with her and her 4 month old little boy Boston. They are both little tanks and are so cute playing together. Don't they look like they could be brothers!... Both so bright eyed.

Last week I was able to watch a friends little boy...Ryley...three months old. He was so much fun to have. I forget how much they sleep when they are that young... and how their poop doesn't smell near as bad as when you start feeding them real people food!

"Me in mommy's tummy"

I bought a baby book for Ty when he first arrived and I've been trying to keep it updated. One of the first entry's in the book is titled "Me in mommy's tummy" ...and leaves a space for a picture. A friend of mine took this picture of Ty and I on the house boat in Lake Mead when he was only a few weeks old... I was trying to keep him warm...but how perfect is this picture! I'm just so grateful to be a mom. Every day gets better and better and my love for this little guy grows and grows.

A sealing date has been set for March 29th and we are so excited that he will officially and eternally be ours.

Our Little Fish

So...we took Ty to the pool...now that Spring is approaching we are getting him ready for the wake boarding season...Drew hopes to have him wake boarding by the end of the summer...right...I just hope he's crawling. He wasn't to sure about it at first. The water was like bath water so it wasn't to cold....he just wasn't sure where to put his feet and was constantly looking around trying to figure it all out. He eventually eased into and had a great time...we even got to dunk him a few times. We borrowed swimming shorts from our nephew...size 12 months...they went down to ankles...really cute.
